- Since so called "Assault Weapons" already account for less than 2% of gun deaths, exactly what percentage of total gun deaths will this new gun control measure or rule prevent?

The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.

Sandy Hook Elementary Murders Thought out for you..
Why Does America Care MORE About It's Money,
than it's Children????

Because Our "so called leaders" have their heads up their assessssssssssssssssssssss.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shouldn't we protect  our children just as much or more than our money?
What comes with every precious little bundle of money?.
An armed guard and a bullet proof truck along with a back up guard.
Not to mention a guard at almost every bank in America also,
do we not??.
So then tell me why,  is it so hard for all you Americans,
to believe it possible to put an armed guard or police officer,
in every school in America?????????????
Is it more important to protect our money?
Is our money worth more than our children?
Actually, money ain't worth nothin,
if you lose the closest person to you
Money can't buy them back..
Then why is so hard for all of you to think about putting an armed guard in front of every building which has our most precious assets in it,
our children...
The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun,
is a good guy with a gun.
And the bad guys will always have the guns.
Look at Mexico.
A nation that does not allow guns,
yet guns control their nation because,
only the bad guys have the guns.
Seems the older generation cares more about their next vacation,
and that 3000 Dollar dinner instead of my kids, your kids.
The Next Generation.
So we say Pto those "So Called Leaders"

"22 children murdered by two hand guns or a rifle ?

Which guns were they?.What is the Real Story??

Lets investigate Shall We...

- The gunman walks into the school with 2 9mm handguns,
leaving the AR-15 rifle in the car..
- And somehow all the victims are killed by the rifle and not the handguns.
-Magic bullets are one thing.
A magic rifle is a whole other matter.
Why are they not telling us the whole story?
Something is not right here..
It seems like they are shooting or staging actual murders to try to take our guns away.??
All the facts don't add up with what they are telling us.
Changing the facts would only mean one thing.
An ongoing story that is evolving and changing as
time ticks into the future.
Who's in charge of these stories??
What up????????????????????????????????

A troubled 20-year-old loner with a history of autistic behavior is the monster behind a horrific shooting at a Connecticut elementary school that left 26 people, including 20 children, dead on Friday.

Adam Lanza shot his mother, Nancy, at the upscale suburban home they shared together and then took three of her guns and drove to Sandy Hook Elementary School about 9.30am.

He used two semi-automatic pistols, a Glock and Sig Sauer, and reportedly wiped out an entire classroom of young children, then shot several in a second class before taking his own life.

Witnesses say Lanza was going from room to room shooting people, after first killing the principal Dawn Hochsprung and the school psychologist Mary Sherlach execution-style when they confronted him in the hallway.

Parents who had not already been united with their children at the nearby fire station were told to assume the worst. One witness told WCBS: 'Police just told us everyone presumed missing is in the school and they are dead.'

Lanza used to be a mild-mannered student in high school, making the honor roll, and living with his mother, Nancy Lanza, who in turn loved playing dice games and decorating their upscale home for the holidays.

A student in his tenth grade Honors English class recalled he was very quiet, very thin and carried a black briefcase to class, which stuck out when all the other kids carried backpacks.

He dressed more formally than other students, often wearing khaki pants, button-down shirts and at times, a pocket protector. Many recalled that he was highly intelligent.

Medical examiner: all Sandy Hook victims died of multiple gunshot wounds

NEWTOWN, Conn.--Dr. H. Wayne Carver, the medical examiner investigating Friday's massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, said autopsies completed on 20 children and six adults on Saturday showed they were killed with multiple bullets fired by a rifle at close range.

"I've been at this for a third of a century and my sensibilities may not be those of the average man, but this probably is the worst I have seen or the worst that I know of any of my colleagues have seen," Carver told reporters gathered at Treadwell Park, less than a mile from the school where the shooting occurred.

Lt. Paul Vance distributed a photocopied list with the names and dates of birth of the victims, including 12 girls and 8 boys, most of them born in 2006.

The youngest was Noah Pozner, who celebrated his 6th birthday in November. Josephine Gay, another victim, turned 7 on Dec. 11, three days before the massacre. The oldest victim identified Saturday was Mary Sherlach, age 56.

All of the adult victims were women, aged 27 to 56.

Autopsies on the suspected shooter, who police say shot himself, and his mother--who was found dead in their Newtown home--would be conducted Sunday, Carver said.

Police have still not released his name. "You have to understand this is an ongoing investigation, with an active crime scene," Vance said.

The veteran medical examiner told reporters that the victims had all been identified and their bodies released. In what appeared to be an uncomfortable moment for Carver, he said all of the victims he had examined had all been shot by a Bushmaster .223 caliber assault rifle, one of at least two weapons Adam Lanza, the 20-year-old suspected shooter, used to commit one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history.

"This is only the second press conference I have ever done," in more than 30 years, Carver noted dryly.

Lanza allegedly gunned down his mother, Nancy Lanza, at their home Friday before driving to Sandy Hook and forcing his way inside to commence the deadly shooting spree.

Before the names were released, Newtown First Selectman Patricia Llodra urged the crush of media assembled at the park to respect the victims' families.

"Please treat our community with kindness," Llodra said. "We need your help on this healing journey."

Earlier, Sen. Richard Blumenthal met with local officials and families in Newtown, but refused to engage in the debate over gun control in the wake of the shooting.

"We're going to have that conversation at another time," Blumenthal told Yahoo! News. "Right now my focus is on this community, the families and the continuing shock and grief they are experiencing."

He added: "I can't imagine any job tougher than to tell parents their 7-year-old is gone. It's the worst nightmare for any parent."

"Most of the ORIGINAL stories stated that he only took the Glock and Sig Sauer pistols INTO the school and that the .223 Bushmaster was found IN-THE-CAR....soooo, how can the .223 be found in the car and also had been taken into the school....."

"Did he have a sub machine gun, rifle or just a few handguns. Something just isn't adding up and they keep changing the report."

"The Bushmaster .223 caliber IS NOT an assault rifle!!! So IF the medical examiner said that, and that was NOT added by the IDIOT Dylan Stableford, of Yahoo! News | The Lookout as he has done before, then the medical examiner does NOT know what he is talking about and may NOT even know what a .223 caliber IS. It had been reported before that that rifle was found in the car. So unless the shooter was able to put the rifle in the car after he was dead then there are some SERIOUS discrepancies. I also head a report that he had a shot gun. So what IS the REAL story??? And what IS the story they are just telling???????"

"Why was his AR-15 found in his car? This was confirmed by the FBI.
Did he walk back out to his car only to go back in and shoot himself?"

""Bushmaster .223 caliber 'ASSAULT' rifle"? Notice how the AH Dylan Stableford, took it upon himself, like every lib does, to throw in the word "Assault". You libs make me want to puke.

Conclusion of investigation of the Kid Massacre is as follows:
This was a staged killing.
The killings were done by a professional.
The kid might have been set up as to say , a gun put in his hand,
once he was shot.
We don't know exactly who was behind the gun, or do we.
They say their were witnesses,
but he was in full riot gear.
its pretty hard to tell who someone is in full riot gear.??
This was a scare killing..
It was meant to scare us..
The media has lied about what guns were used and when.
The head coronor concluded that the kids were shot by a rifle .
Not hand guns.
This was as professional hit.
Who do you know that has a hit list??
Some one in our country..
We Think...
And what was their motive behind killing kids?
To Ban Guns???
These murders might have been A Terrorist Attack! Red Alert !

ARE NOT SAFE....... :(

Shooting Kids is a Bad Thing..
A really bad action to do.
Not even a good thing to think about..
Especially when they get shot trying to learn in school..
All these school shootings lately..
All over the news..
Every other article..
About a shooting..
Did you hear about the kid in China with a knife that severely injured
and killed some 22 kids one day before these shootings.
So there are over one million different ways to kill people with out using a gun.
What do we do?
Some say, let's make more laws..
We must make a law that takes away everything dangerous to a person.
Then no one will ever get hurt again. Happy Happy Fake World Fake World..
We Say.. LoL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You live in a dream..
If you think gun laws,
mere words on paper,
are going to fix what is going on lately,
then you live in a dream world.
The People are out of control...
Their actions speak for themselves.
The weapons just sit there , non judge-mental to anyone.
The car does not go with out the person pushing the petal.
A thought is in control of an action. Not an inanimate object.
Yeah, lets make more make believe gun laws..
Only problem is..
Just the citizens who follow the law will now be the only ones
with out guns..
By taking guns away, now only the bad people will have guns,
and the good law obiding people will not be able to self protect themselves..
Yeah, you can pretend,
to make laws on paper,
but it only makes the good people vulnerable.
And the bad guys, who will have the guns,
will have kids also,
who will have access to their parents guns,
to bring to school..
Lets remember, a gun is a device and not an action.
Shooting a gun is an action..
So the mind behind the gun makes the judgement. Not the gun.
Did anyone ever think about the movies and films,
and how they portray people just going around
shooting everyone, with no feelings..
Is it the movies that we are showing our kids..
No, if you take the guns away from the good people,
then the good people will not be able to protect their
good children in school when need be...
You cannot hide from guns.
They will always be on our planet..
Here for protection from the bad guys..
All public teachers should have to take mandatory gun classes,
and have carry permits ,
as well as showing one is proficient in using a gun under pressure..
There should b one adult and a gun to protect the children in every classroom.
Also, have you seen the new line of bullet proof backpacks and school clothing out!
Me being a parent, have already invested in my kids future in a violent classroom.
Its the only way..
Because our country is not safe anymore..
Our schools are not safe anymore.
We must be able to protect our selves.
And so what would you rather have happen..
when you drop your kids off at school inthe morning,
would you rather have a classroom full of children,
in a violent situation, with no one to protect them,
untill you have called the police,
but by the time they arrive,
your child will already be dead!!
Where was someone with a gun when we needed one??
The Schools are not safe anymore..
Our country is not safe anymore..
Our so called leaders are not reliable anymore..
Thus, we must have a means of protecting our children and l0ved ones,
from the bad guys,
who would mean to do harm,
to your child..
Mandatory issue of guns for all teachers ..
Is what we are requesting..

Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 30.06 right in the doorway.
I left 6 shells beside it, then left it alone
and went about my business. While I was gone, the mailman delivered
my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, a girl
walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the
stop sign near the front of our house. After about an hour, I checked
on the gun. It was still sitting there, right where I had left it. It
hadn't moved itself outside. It certainly hadn't killed anyone, even
with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so. In
fact, it hadn't even loaded itself. Well you can imagine my surprise,
with all the media hype about how dangerous guns are and how they
kill people.
Either the media is wrong or I'm in possession of the laziest gun in the world.
Well, I'm off to check on my spoons. I hear they're making people fat.
The United States is 3rd in Murders throughout the World. But if you
take out Chicago , Detroit , Washington DC and New Orleans , the
United States is 4th from the bottom for Murders. These 4 Cities also
have the toughest Gun Control Laws in the United States . ALL 4 are
controlled by Democrats. It would be absurd to draw any conclusions
from this data – right?

1. Chicago = Nations toughest gun laws, but as quoted from O-bomb-a-drone, " there were 443 murders commited by guns in chicago last year." end quote.. Because the bad guys have the guns and the good people are not allowed to. Thus making us un able to self protect our selves and others.

A felon who buys a gun is already breaking the law in the first place. how does disarming me change anything?

Know why there's gun violence in Chicago? You have 20,000 armed gang members. Disarmed citizens. A gay anti-gun mayor and city council, and a gay U.S. President who is bound and determined to disarm us all, and take away our rights!

2. Mexico = A nation that does not allow guns, yet guns control their nation because,
only the bad guys have the guns. You don't want to be the president of mexico, or a police chief. It's a commitment to suicide.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein wants to take your guns away.
"He argued that he felt for Feinstein, who became a staunch gun-control advocate when she discovered the bodies of gay rights activist Harvey Milk and San Francisco Mayor George Moscone after they were gunned down at City Hall in 1978.We say take a gun and shove it up your ass and pull the trigger!" LoL. Gun Control Is, A Gay AGENDA. LoL !
Your old haggness has no place in a gun debate.
Please go change your diaper and STITCH up your pussy. IT STINKS!!!
She wants to take your guns away because her two gay guy friends got shot. LoL!

UPDATE: 7:00 p.m. -- Feinstein indicated later Tuesday the prospects for including the high capacity magazine ban in a baseline gun control bill looked bleak.

She told reporters she had been promised two votes???? -- one on an assault weapons ban, including a ban on high capacity magazines, and another on just the magazine ban. Feinstein said it was her understanding that both of these votes would be on amendments, rather than on any gun control package introduced by the Senate.

How do you register a gun magazine?
They don't have serial numbers and they are mass produced meaning each manufacturer's product looks exactly the same.
K, since magazines are not marked with any identifying information other than perhaps caliber, how do you register them? BTW - Most of the magazines being discussed are not high capacity, they are standard capacity, that is that they are the capacity for which the firearm was designed making them standard capacity. Thus making guns the guns you currently own now useless if you lose the clip.
Because you wont be able to buy a standard clip for your gun anymore.
Yes making guns useless by clip laws. This is TRiCKERY. any one can see that if you think about it.
An how about a felony charge for any gun clip that is unregistered.
What the fuck is up Conneti CUNTs Ass. A Gay dick Agenda my friends .
Clips are not the same things as magazines. An M1 rifle utilizes an 8 round enbloc clip, an AR15 rifle utilizes a 30 magazine. There is a difference.
As soon as they are registered they will be confiscated in the next session. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!
- >>> CT - The anti-constitution state.

- Since assault weapons already account for less than 2% of gun deaths, exactly what percentage of total gun deaths will this partial measure prevent?

- I'm happy to see that they at least paid some lip service to improving mental health care with this do little bill. Since the vast majority of gun deaths are suicides any improvement in mental health care is far more likely to have a measurable impact on gun deaths than any assault weapons ban.

324 suicides in the army last year???? WTF? No Shit!
Yes 324 suicides in the United States Armed Services last year.

Gun flight: Smith & Wesson, Ruger quit California over stamping requirement

A new gun law proponents say helps law enforcement has driven Smith & Wesson and Sturm Ruger out of California, and affirmed the suspicions of firearms rights advocates that the measure is really about making handguns obsolete.

The two companies have announced they will stop selling their wares in the nation's most populous state rather than try to comply with a law that requires some handguns to have technology that imprints a tiny stamp on the bullet so it can be traced back to the gun. The companies, and many gun enthusiasts, say so-called "microstamping" technology is unworkable in its present form and can actually impair a gun's performance.

“Smith & Wesson does not and will not include microstamping in its firearms,” the Springfield, Mass.,-based manufacturer said in a statement. “A number of studies have indicated that microstamping is unreliable, serves no safety purpose, is cost prohibitive and, most importantly, is not proven to aid in preventing or solving crimes.

“The microstamping mandate and the company’s unwillingness to adopt this so-called technology will result in a diminishing number of Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistols available for purchase by California residents.”

Southport, Conn.-based Sturm Ruger also announced this month that they will also stop selling their guns in California due to the microstamping law.

Firearm microstamping, or ballistic imprinting, works by engraving a microscoping marking onto the tip of the firing pin. When the gun is fired, it leaves an imprint, usually of a serial number, on the bullet casings. The telltale mark theoretically allows law enforcement investigators to trace the bullet to the registered gun owner. California’s law is the first in the nation to be implemented and was originally signed into effect in October 2007, but not implemented until recently. Several other states are considering similar measures.

Law-enforcement is exempt from microstamping requirements.

Critics say tracing a bullet to a registered gun owner does little to fight crime, since criminals often kill with stolen handguns. Many believe tracing bullets was never the real intent of the law in the first place.

"This is the latest attempt to undermine the Second Amendment in California by politicians with little to no knowledge of firearms, who seek to impose their liberal values upon those who choose to protect their families with the constitutional right to own a handgun," said Chuck Michel, West Coast Counsel for the National Rifle Association, an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University and author of the book "California Gun Laws."

One of the main arguments critics pose is the claim that the technology is not perfected, yet the requirement has been put into effect.

“The technology doesn’t fully exist yet, but by making it into a law, they [California] in fact enacted a gun law without actually passing one,” David Kopel, a constitutional law professor at the Denver University Sturm College of Law and Research Director of the Independence Institute, told “This is an indirect way to ban new handguns from being sold.”

The patent holder of microstamping tech, Todd Lizotte, was part of a Department of Justice study team which concluded that, “legitimate questions exist related to both the technical aspects, production costs, and database management associated with microstamping that should be addresses before wide scale implementation is legislatively mandated,” according to the study which was published in the Association of Firearm and Toolmark Examiners (AFTE) Journal.

Lawsuits were also filed against the Golden State this week by the National Shooting Sports Foundation and the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute challenging the microstamping law saying in a statement this week that they predicted back in 2007 when the law was first passed that it would result in a “de facto semiautomatic handgun ban.”

Other states considering a microstamping requirement include Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.

Smith & Wesson said it expects sales of its California-compliant revolvers, which aren't required to have microstamping, will offset the impact to the company. Company President and CEO James Debney vowed to continue to work with industry groups to oppose the law, while providing California customers with products that do comply with it.

Two trade groups, the National Shooting Sports Foundation and the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute, filed a legal challenge to the law in California Superior Court earlier this month.

"This is the latest attempt to undermine the Second Amendment in California by politicians with little to no knowledge of firearms ... "

A Little Gun History
For Thought...

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.
From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves,
were rounded up and exterminated!

In 1911, Turkey established gun control.
From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated!

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945,
a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to
defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated!

China established gun control in 1935.
From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964.
From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable
to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970.
From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated!

Cambodia established gun control in 1956.
From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

You won't see this
data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control,
please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.
During WW II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom,
please spread this anti gun-control message to all of your friends.
The purpose of fighting is to win.
There is no possible victory in defense.
The sword is more important than the shield,
and skill is more important than either. The final
weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
I'm a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment! If you are too, please forward.

Very good article, of course from a Marine!!!
"The Gun Is Civilization" by Maj. L. Caudill USMC (Ret)
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force.
If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force.
Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that's it.
In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion.

Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force.

You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.

The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunken guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.

There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the source of bad force equations.

These are the people who think that we'd be more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm makes it easier for a [armed] mugger to do his job.

That, of course, is only true if the mugger's potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice or by legislative fiat--it has no validity when most of a mugger's potential marks are armed.

People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that's the exact opposite of a civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.

Then there's the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury.

This argument is fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser.

People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don’t constitute lethal force watch too much TV, where people take beatings and come out of it with a bloody lip at worst.

The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.

The gun is the only weapon that's as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter.

It simply wouldn't work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn't both lethal and easily employable.

When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone.

The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force.

It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

Doctors VS. Gun Owners

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. Is
(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians
Per year are
(C) Accidental deaths per physician
Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of
Health and Human Services.
Now think about this:
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S.
(Yes, that's 80 million)
(B) The number of accidental gun deaths
Per year, all age groups,
(C) The number of accidental deaths
Per gun owner
Statistics courtesy of FBI
So, statistically, doctors are approximately
9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
Remember, 'Guns don't kill people, doctors do.'
Almost everyone has at least one doctor.
This means you are over 9,000 times more likely to be killed by a doctor as by a gun owner!!!
Please alert your friends
To this
Alarming threat.
We must ban doctors
Before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!

Out of concern for the public at large,
We withheld the statistics,
For fear the shock would cause
People to panic and seek medical attention!

Maybe you could call it,
" T.O.T.A.L. C.O.N.T.R.O.L."
Firearms would only shoot in owners' hands under bill

Sen. Edward Markey has unveiled a gun control bill he says will help reduce firearm violence by requiring all new guns be "personalized" with special features, such as fingerprint-reading technology, so they can only be fired by their owners or other authorized users.

The Massachusetts Democrat says the bill will make it harder for stolen guns to be used in crimes and will reduce accidental firearm deaths by making it impossible for children to fire guns they find Markey said technology already exists to make guns inoperable for unauthorized users.

"In the 21st century, we should use advances in technology to our own advantage and save lives, and the [bill] will help ensure that only authorized users can operate handguns," Markey said in a statement. "This is the type of gun safety legislation that everyone regardless of political party or affiliation should be able to support."

Markey, who detailed the bill Wednesday, also called on President Obama to include $10 million in his budget proposal for gun violence research.

Markey said his bill should be embraced by gun owners and safety advocates, but any gun control measure will likely come up against tough opposition in Congress.

Rep. John Tierney, D-Mass., introduced the same legislation in House last year.

"This vital legislation, which I introduced in the House last year, harnesses the benefits of existing technology to make guns themselves safer. Personalization technology would reduce accidental gun deaths and prevent stolen weapons from being used in crimes," Tierney said in a statement.

According to The Washington Post, a German company, Armatix GmbH, recently introduced the first "personalized" handgun in the U.S. The Amatrix iP1, a .22-caliber pistol, will only fire if it is within range of a special watch that communicates with the gun.

Meanwhile, Utah-based Kodiak Arms is taking pre-orders for the Intelligun, which is unlocked with fingerprints. Yardarm, a California start-up, uses a smartphone app to notify gun owners if their weapon is moved and allows them to remotely disable their firearms, The Post reported.

The National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action says it is not opposed to the development of so-called "smart guns," but rejects government mandates that require the use of grips with fingerprint-reading technology, according to a post on its website.

"[The] NRA recognizes that the "smart guns" issue clearly has the potential to mesh with the anti-gunner's agenda, opening the door to a ban on all guns that do not possess the government-required technology," the group said.

Grandpa Gun Talk

My old grandpa said to me 'Son, there comes a time in every man's life when he stops bustin' knuckles and starts bustin' caps and usually it's when he becomes too old to
take an ass whoopin.'
I don't carry a gun to kill people. I carry a gun to keep from being killed.
I don't carry a gun to scare people. I carry a gun because sometimes this world can be a scary place.
I don't carry a gun because I'm paranoid. I carry a gun because there are real threats in the world.
I don't carry a gun because I'm evil. I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see the evil in the world.
I don't carry a gun because I hate the government. I carry a gun because I understand the limitations of government.
I don't carry a gun because I'm angry. I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.
I don't carry a gun because I want to shoot someone. I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk
somewhere tomorrow afternoon.
I don't carry a gun because I'm a cowboy. I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.
I don't carry a gun to make me feel like a man. I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.
I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate. I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.
I don't carry a gun because I love it. I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.
Police protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves. Police
do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.
Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an ass whoopin' unknown (but obviously brilliant)
